Statesville Police: 3,000+ perscription dosage units obtained fraudulently

Statesville NC:    Investigators from the Statesville Police Department Narcotics Division were investigating several fraudulent prescriptions obtained from Walmart and Kmart pharmacies.  During the course of the investigation investigators learned that Mary Evelyn Jarvis, a former employee at a Doctor’s office in Statesville was using the Doctor’s DEA number to call in fraudulent prescriptions for herself and another person, Gayna Anderson. In all,  over 3,000 dosage units were obtained by the suspects. Mary Evelyn Jarvis was arrested and charged with 8 counts of Trafficking in Opiates by Possession and 5 counts of obtaining a controlled prescription by fraud.  Jarvis is being held at the Iredell County jail on a $400,000.00 bond. Gayna Clark Anderson was arrested and charged with 3 counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud. Anderson was arrested in October and has since posted her bond.
