Motorcycle, dirt bike stolen in Statesville

Some case of interest from Statesville PD – someone prying open the doors at the Salisbury Road Four Brothers store early yesterday morning. The individual fled with a cash door. Also – a 2008 Harley Davidson Road King and a red Honda dirt bike stolen from the 500 block of Carolina Avenue North.

Numerous reports of residences being broken-into in Statesville over the weekend. Locations have included Walnut Street, Davie Avenue, Rolling Lane, East End Avenue, West Front Street and elsewhere. In some cases, nothing was stolen. Other places, it was everything from books and electronics to liquor and a gun.

Police: Man slapped after touching woman inappropriately at Walmart

A man arrested by the Statesville Police Department is accused of grabbing a woman in the rear under her dress at Walmart. According to Police, the victim turned around and slapped Isaac Byers, whom she identified. He was arrested on scene.
